Kelly Moor, D.A.
Kelly Moor is currently employed as an Assistant Professor of English in the Department of Language and Literature at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where she teaches courses in Composition, Writing in the Disciplines, and Latin. She earned both a Doctor of Arts degree in English and certification in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) in 2009 at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho. While at ISU, Dr. Moor functioned as a Writing Across the Curriculum counselor, working with faculty from the departments of Biological Sciences and of Social Work to develop writing enhancement strategies that could be incorporated into each of the departments’ existing curricula. In academic year 2007-2008 she also served as the Interim Associate Director of the ISU Writing Center, which serviced students from every academic program and level of study from first-year writing assignments to doctoral dissertations and professional publications.
In addition, Dr. Moor brings several years of experience as a writer and content editor for Judson Press—Curriculum Division (1999-2006), and she currently serves as the non-fiction editor of SWOSU’s Westview: A Journal of Western Oklahoma.
