Patsy Parker, Ph.D

Patsy Parker is a department chair and tenured associate professor in the Everett Dobson School of Business and Technology at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU). In 2006, Dr. Parker earned a doctor of philosophy degree from the University of Oklahoma. Her dissertation focused on female leadership and she has subsequently published and presented at national conferences. Dr. Parker is a member of SWOSU's Higher Learning Commission Steering Committee, and is co-chair of the criterion that targets student learning and effective teaching. Dr. Parker has received several teaching awards. She was named as the 2007 Outstanding Accounting Educator by the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants and also received the Phi Beta Lambda Outstanding Advisor Award for the state of Oklahoma in 2007. She currently co-sponsors Phi Beta Lambda, serves on various committees, and looks forward each semester to a new group of students in her business classes.
