Message from the Associate Dean
Greetings..
On behalf of the faculty and staff of the School of Allied Health Sciences I would like to express our collective gratitude to SWOSU for the opportunity to bring our students an opportunity to select from a variety of Allied Health Programs. Our students have the option of Athletic Training, Health Care Administration, Health Information Management, Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science, Occupational Therapy Assistant and Physical Therapist Assistant. On our Sayre campus we have Radiological Technology and Medical Laboratory Technician. In addition to these specialized programs, which all result in professional certification, the School of Allied Health Sciences has a Health Science major for students seeking entry into any of the pre-professional programs such as Audiology, Dental Hygiene, Dentistry, Medicine, Occupational Therapy, Optometry, Pharmacy, Physician Associate, Physical Therapy, Radiology and others. The B.S. in Health Science is also an excellent degree to continue graduate level work in areas of Public Health, Epidemiology, Microbiology and many more graduate disciplines to choose from.
The School of Allied Health has minor programs in Allied Health and Microbiology. At the graduate level there is available a non-certification Masters degree in Health Science and Microbiology.
With this many career opportunities in the Health Care Field the student can find the program that is tailored just for them. Please visit with our helpful and dedicated faculty and staff to discuss your career options. Remember, at SWOSU our motto is “The Focus is You.”
