Mr. Alden Whiteman
Alden A. Whiteman is an enrolled Southern Arapaho-Cheyenne member, who was born in Elk City Oklahoma. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Ethical Leadership from Duquesne University, and a second Masters degree from Central Washington University in Natural Resources Management. In addition to working for the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes, he has been employed as the Tribal Liaison with the Corporation for National and Community Service, the umbrella organization for AmeriCorps Programs. He also has been employed with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Administration for Native Americans, all of which total twelve years of federal service. His research interests are tribal gaming and applied leadership and he has delivered four papers on tribal casinos before the National Social Sciences and Technology Conferences in Las Vegas and the 52nd Congreso de Americanist in Sevilla Spain.
