Crowder Lake

Operated by SWOSU since 1997, Crowder Lake University Park is 158 water acre and 159 land acre park located 10 minutes south of campus.  The park boasts a number of facilities and activities available for SWOSU students, employees, and the general public.  A few of the facilities include:

  • Low and high ropes courses
  • Rappelling tower and climbing wall
  • 1 mile long handicap accessible paved walking trail
  • Boat ramp
  • Two boating & fishing docks
  • Classroom building
  • Wildland Fire Program building
  • A Frame bunk house
  • Five RV sites with electricity and water
  • Seven covered tent sites

Crowder Lake has great fishing opportunities.  A trophy black bass lake, Crowder also has good populations of Crappie, sunfish, sand bass, catfish and other species.  Canoes and kayaks are available for free to SWOSU students and staff and for a low rental rate for the general public.
