General Information
The Health Sciences major is a bachelor’s degree program designed to provide flexibility and options for the student interested in various health care fields.
OPTION 1 The Bachelor’s of Health Sciences may be used as a terminal degree which provides the student with a broad based background of science, business, and health care. This background may be utilized to obtain a variety of positions within the health care industry.
OPTION 2 The Bachelor’s of Health Sciences may be used to obtain a degree in Medical Technology from SWOSU. Students complete 3 or 4 years at SWOSU followed by a year of clinical internship.
OPTION 3 The Health Sciences Major at SWOSU may be utilized as a preprofessional curriculum for those wishing to apply to professional training programs and graduate level health programs. These professional degree tracts may or may not result in a B.S. degree before the student starts the professional program.
