Dan Cocannouer joined SWOSU in December 2008 as the Head Football Coach. He had previously been the head football coach at several high schools, gaining 30 years of coaching experience, with Edmond Santa Fe being the most recent.
Dan graduated from high school at Tuttle where he received honors as an all-state running back. He is a SWOSU alumni. He obtained a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Health and Physical Education and a Master’s Degree in Education. While attending Southwestern, Dan played football under Otis Delaporte.
In addition to his coaching duties, Dan will be an instructor for Kinesiology, teaching classes in First Aid, Theory of Coaching Football and Sports Officiating. Dan and his wife Jeri Lyn have two daughters, Janie and Josie.
