C.D. Perkins teaches the Park Ranger class and assists with the Basic Man Tracking class for the Park Law Enforcement program at SWOSU. He is a commissioned Park Ranger for the Oklahoma Parks Department and is currently the Manager of Boiling Springs State Park in Woodward, OK. He is a Volunteer Fireman for Woodward County Oklahoma, a Red Card holder, and a Basic Emergency Medical Technician.
C.D. teaches a variety of rescue classes to include: rope; high angle; wilderness; swift water; and industrial confined space. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from SWOSU in 1995 and a Master’s degree in Parks and Recreation Management in 2007.
C.D. was in the U.S. Army for fourteen years (3 yrs active, 11 yrs USAR). He is a graduate of the US Army Infantry, Airborne and M.O.U.T. (Movement Over Urban Terrain) schools. C.D.’s last 2 years in the USAR were in Airport Fire & Rescue. He has certificates of completion from the Border Patrol’s BOTAC Tracking School, David Scott-Donelan’s Tactical Tracking Operations School, USANG Urban Warfare School, and Pat Roger’s / EAG Tactical Carbine Operators Course.
He has completed the Oklahoma Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET) Basic Instructor, OSU Instructor I & II, ResQ3’s Swiftwater Rescue Instructor and Advanced Rope Rescue Course, and the US Army’s Firefighter I, II, and Hazmat Ops.
