Jerry Fletcher is a retired physical education teacher and coach from Enid Public Schools. He served over thirty years with the system. He is currently an Emergency Wildland Firefighter and Firing Boss with the Bureau of Indian Affairs in the Southern Plains Region. His territory is western Oklahoma, north central Kansas and eastern Texas.
Mr. Fletcher holds a bachelors degree in Health and Physical Education from Phillips University. He is currently working on a Master of Education in Parks and Recreation Management / Wildland Fire Management from SWOSU.
Jerry has taken numerous wildland fire courses and holds instructor status from the National Wildfire Coordinating Group.
He responds to emergency wildland fire details nationwide. He also responds to other national emergencies, like hurricanes, floods, and tornadoes.
Jerry is an adjunct professor at SWOSU in the Wildland Fire Management program.
