Pre-Law Minor

Essentially, there are three requirements for admission to law school:

  1. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university;
  2. A satisfactory score on the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) administered by Educational Testing Service, Princeton, N.J., and
  3. A satisfactory grade-point average (GPA).

Some schools require one or more letters of recommendation, a short essay on one's objective in the study of law, or a personal interview. SWOSU offers a pre-Law Social Science minor for students who are majoring in areas other than political science, such as business, English, psychology, or the natural sciences. This 18 hour minor allows these students to count law-related courses in political science and criminal justice as a minor. The minor is found in the catalog (PDF).
