The curriculum in the Engineering Technology Department allows for a variety of exciting opportunities in Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, and Technology Education Certification for Oklahoma secondary schools.  Our Manufacturing Engineering Technology Specialization within the Engineering Technology Bachelor of Science degree is currently accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission (TAC) of ABET, 111 Market Place, Suite 1050, Baltimore, MD 21202-4012 -telephone: (410) 347-7700. The Industrial Technology Bachelor of Science degree is currently accredited by the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE), http://www.atmae.org/

Careers

Career opportunities are numerous in all our areas of study. Our graduates command competitive salaries. Examples of recent graduates' entry positions are manufacturing engineering technologists, quality assurance managers, plant and production supervisors, production analysts, planners and schedulers, skilled electrical and mechanical technicians, and estimators. Additionally, approximately 30% of all Oklahoma Technology Education teachers have at least one degree from the SWOSU Technology Department.
