- History: The Weatherford Area Chamber of Commerce was established in 1900. Although our organization works closely with city government officials and we promote Weatherford, the Chamber is not part of city government. It is a private, not-for-profit organization, supported by individual membership fees. Fourteen elected Board of Directors set policy. The Executive Director and Executive Assistant administer policy and manage day to day operations. Members participate in the nine committees, set up to fulfill the chamber's mission. All of these positions are volunteer except for the Executive Director and Assistant.
- Products: We are a service organization, primarily providing service for our chamber memebers. However, most of the services provided also directly or indirectly benefit every Weatherford citizen. "The Weatherford Area Chamber of Commerce's mission is to bind leaders together for the growth and development of Weatherford, create economic opportunities and enhance the qualith of life for West Central Oklahoma."
