SWOSU recognizes thirteen (13) holidays each fiscal year that include New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day following, Christmas Day, two days during Spring Break, two days during Fall Break and two additional days as designated in the annual Holiday Schedule.  The President of SWOSU may declare other days as compensatory holidays. Future years are anticipated but subject to change at University’s sole discretion.

Forced Leave*

• 2008 - December 22, 23, 29, 30, and 31
• 2009 - December 28, 29, 30, and 31

*Twelve month employees are required to use annual leave on these dates.

Campus Closings

Employees may be required to work during this period, if such work is necessary, benefits SWOSU, and is required or approved by the appropriate supervisor. The Human Resources Office is to be notified of employees designated to work during this time-period.
