The ABC's of Investing

The ABC’s of Investing teaches the basics of investing in today’s market.  Information will be provided on what types of investments are available such as bonds, stocks, mutual funds, tax deferred investments, and retirement plans; how these investments work; and when to use them.  Also, risk management and setting investment goals will be discussed.  This activity is great for young families beginning their lives, people preparing for future retirement, or anyone who may already be retired.  Whether you are saving for a college education for your kids, a new home, or just building the nest egg, this activity is for you.

Instructor Biography:

Mr. Rick Johnson currently lives in Hydro, OK. He received his BBA in Finance from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas and spent the next 13 years as an investment representative for Edward Jones & Co.  Mr. Johnson is the recipient of the “Peoples Choice” award for outstanding investment counselor in southeastern Colorado in 1997 and 1998.  He has been a member of the American Funds All-American team for 6 consecutive years. 

Mr. Johnson currently serves as Vice President of Investments in an Oklahoma Financial Solutions organization.  He is responsible for broker training and provides financial planning throughout Oklahoma and Colorado.
