Participant Comments:

“I recently attended a certification instructor workshop for TCA (Tai Chi for Arthritis) Level 1 and Level 2 in Jacksonville, AR and I wanted to let this office know that I was totally prepared for this workshop by taking the Beginning Tai Chi for Life: Relaxation and Teacher Training and Intermediate Tai Chi for Life: Relaxation and Teacher Training offered by SWOSU.  I’m especially grateful for my instructors, Dr. Robert Lackey and Alice Lackey, who were instrumental in my efforts for receiving this certification.  They have made Tai Chi interesting and fun to learn.  I would highly recommend that anyone wanting to get a certification take these classes prior to going to a workshop.  Thank you for offering this class and I want to thank my wonderful instructors.” – Robert M. Zumwalt

"This class was very beneficial for relaxation and allowing 1.5 hours of escape. After this I found I was able to concentrate and focus on my job and other classes that I usually stress at! I’m taking it again just for that 1.5 hour break to relax!" -- Mary Zumwalt

“The Tai Chi training is helpful to me as a diabetic that needs exercise and hopefully a future instructor.  This is a great activity for elderly and people w/handicaps or chronic illnesses that need exercise.” -- Candise Warren

“My husband and I took Beginning and Intermediate Tai Chi with Dr. lackey.  We found the course to be fun & interesting.  It helps with balance & agility & exercises all areas of the body.  The more you get into Tai Chi, the more beneficial it becomes.  But, you need to practice!” – Betty & Jack Albright

“The course has helped to teach relaxation methods, improve balance of movement.  I would recommend the course for anyone to help learn an easy way of exercising that helps with balance & relaxation.”  -- Ed Williamson
