19th Annual SWOSU Research and Scholarly Activity Fair
Information and Instructions
The 19th Annual SWOSU Research and Scholarly Activity Fair will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on the Southwestern Oklahoma State University campus in the Ballroom of the Student Center. The deadline for applications is Friday, March 9, 2012. No applications will be considered beyond the deadline. No posters or podium presentations will be allowed without a completed and accepted application.
**Students, faculty, staff, and administration are all encouraged to present a poster or 15 minute oral/podium presentation.
The application process is online only. Please read and follow the instructions carefully. Notification of acceptance of the application will follow within a few days after submission.
Setup will be on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, between 8:00 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. Introductions and welcoming comments will begin at 12:15 p.m. Posters should be made available for viewing between 11:45 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Students should be available for questions at their posters until 2:00 p.m.
Podium presentations will begin at 12:30 p.m. and are scheduled every 20 minutes, which includes approximately 10 minutes for the presentation, 5 minutes for questions and answers, and 5 minutes intermission in preparation for the next presenter. Presentations will be made in the Bonny Board Room, designed to accommodate 15 to 20 people.
One side of a display panel will be provided for each poster presentation, measuring 78”h X 50”w and offering both the “velcro” and “push-pin” style for attaching posters. Those who wish to request a table and/or available electrical outlets to be positioned in front of the display must request the option on the application.
