Writing Winning Proposals

March 31- April 1, 2005

A grant writing workshop entitled “Writing Winning Proposals” was held on March 31 – April 1. The workshop was sponsored by the SWOSU Office of Sponsored Programs and Continuing Education. There were 52 participants, comprised of SWOSU faculty, public school educators, and non-profit agency representatives.

Dr. Blake Sonobe, Chairman of the SWOSU Chemistry/Physics Department, welcomed the participants. Dr. Bob Bradley, Public Service Coordinator with the Division of Continuing Education at Louisiana State University, presented enlightening sessions on the steps to writing proposals for extramural funding and locating funding sources. The workshop consisted of lectures, group participation, and break-out sessions.

A tour of the Thomas P. Stafford Air and Space Museum was also offered.
