Bulldog Apartments

Southwestern Oklahoma State University maintains 32 apartments for married or single parent students. All apartments are one bedroom and one bathroom and rent is $290 per month.

Monthly rent includes electric, gas, water and cable. Telephone and Internet access are not included. Each apartment comes with a heater and cook stove/oven but are otherwise unfurnished. Renters are responsible for supplying their own refrigerator, air conditioner, and carpet. Two 110-volt air conditioners are permitted per apartment.

To be eligible to reside in Bulldog Apartments:

• Residents must be married or have a dependent under the age of 18 living with them;
• One of the apartment occupants must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours for the fall and spring semesters.

According to fire code stipulations, only married couples, married couples with one infant, or a single parent with one dependent are eligible to reside in the apartments. Preference will be given to couples in which both residents are enrolled as SWOSU students.

There is a waiting list for the apartments. Current residents are required to give a 30-day notice before moving out. Housing cannot guarantee that there will be an opening in the semester that you want. However, housing can leave your name on the waiting list.

Bulldog Apartments has regulations that allow it to be a learning community that meets the needs of all residents. No remodeling of any kind is to be done by the resident. There are no pets allowed except for fish in a 10-gallon tank or smaller. Alcohol is also not allowed in the apartments in accordance with the Board of Regents for Oklahoma Colleges and Oklahoma State Law. A full listing of these policies and regulations will be provided to each resident upon move in. All residents are expected to abide by all rules and regulations.

The university will do any repairs that need to be made to the apartment. Occupants should notify the Residence Life Office of repairs that need to be made, as it is our desire to keep the apartments in good condition.
