Oklahoma Hall

Oklahoma Hall is a five-story facility that houses over 380 women. From a central foyer on each residence floor, a wing extends in each direction. The central foyer includes a TV/living room area, laundry room, exterior balconies, and RA living quarters. Each wing has 12 rooms and its own renovated bathroom. The ground floor has several lounge areas, dining facilities, a well equipped kitchen, TV lounge, study room, game room and vending area. The Front desk is located at the main entrance of the building near the resident mailboxes.

Resident rooms are typically furnished for double occupancy and include 2 twin beds with built in storage below, 2 desks and chairs, 2 closets with built in dresser drawers and a sink. Any of these rooms may be reserved as private rooms as space permits. For convenience, all rooms include TV cable service and wireless internet service free of charge. Residents are free to bring additional personal items, storage units, and shelves.

Oklahoma Hall prides itself on being a place full of laughter, fun, friends, and activities. Each floor sponsors monthly floor/wing activities such as bowling, crafts, sporting events, and movie nights. In addition to these RA planned events, the Hall participates in building wide activities that include all residents. Such events include the welcome back Flip Flop Party, Christmas Bingo, Homecoming Festivities, Finals Luau and much, much more.

A meal plan must be purchased if you live in a Residence Hall.

Can I get a private room?
Private rooms are assigned as space permits and are allotted on a seniority basis for all returning residents. All new applicants are given priority according to completed deposit and reservation agreement. Email requests to reslife@swosu.edu

What if I change my mind?
You are free to change your mind and receive your refunded deposit anytime before the cancellation deadline on the contract. Cancellation after the deadline will result in a forfeit of the deposit. Once a resident officially checks into his/her residence, he/she is bound to fulfill the full term and cancellation would then require an opt-out fee. Email requests to reslife@swosu.edu

When will I know my housing assignment and roommate?
Emails will be sent to the residents SWOSU student email account by August 1st. The email will give room number, roommate name and the roommate’s phone number.

If my friend and I want to be roommates, what should we do?
On the application (back), make sure to fill out the roommate questionnaire. Put your roommate request AND fill out description/expectations. Note: Do this ASAP because once assignments are made it is difficult to make changes.

ID cards can also be used to get into SWOSU games/activities and Wellness Center for free.

Where do I park and do I need a parking permit?
There is parking available around each building. Students do need a parking permit, which they can get at campus police (located at the southeast corner of campus). Make sure to take Student ID, license plate number, and the make/model of the vehicle.
