ACT

The ACT is America's most widely accepted college entrance exam. It assesses high school students' general educational development and their ability to complete college-level work.

• The multiple-choice tests cover four skill areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science.
• The Writing Test, which is optional, measures skills in planning and writing a short essay.

ACT Residual

ONLY students who plan to attend SWOSU may test. Test scores CANNOT be transferred to another institution. No Student Reports or High School Reports are generated to report scores to ANY other College or scholarship agency.

SAT

The SAT is a standardized test which is required by some colleges and universities in the United States.

The SAT consists of three sections:

• Mathematics
• Critical reading
• Writing
