Brennan King's Bio
I was born and raised in Southwest Oklahoma, and grew up near the Binger area. I had the opportunity to live on a farm for the majority of my life, and I have embraced the small-town feel of Weatherford, which has become my beloved home.
I attended Binger-Oney Public Schools from kindergarten to graduation in 2006, then, after moving to Weatherford to attend SWOSU, I met my lovely wife, Sarah, in Ms. Endicott’s US History course. After deciding to be married in 2008, I worked on the grounds crew at the SWOSU Physical Plant while my wife finished her degree. In 2010 I returned to SWOSU as a student, earning my Bachelor of Arts in History Education in December, 2013. As a student I was a member of the History Club, Latin Club, SWOSU Journal of Undergraduate Research, and the Council for Undergraduate Research. After graduation, I taught 5th and 6th grade Social Studies at Washington Elementary in Clinton for one semester before being employed by SWOSU as a Recruiter in the Office of Admissions and Recruitment in May, 2014. On November 9th, 2014, my wife and I were blessed with the arrival of our first child, a son, Connor James King.
I love to read military history, woodworking, play music, spend time with my family and friends, camp, hunt, and enjoy the outdoors. GO BULLDOGS!
The focus is you.
