Lyndsey Hyde's Bio
I am from Washington, Oklahoma, a small town just south of Norman where I attended school my whole life. When my Senior year of high school rolled around I still was undecided on where I wanted to attend college. I took one college visit all year and that was to SWOSU’s campus and I immediately knew it was the place for me. My freshman year I began working in the Admissions and Recruitment office and was here for my first two years of school. The beginning of my Junior year I moved down the hill to the Athletic Department where I worked for the Assistant Athletic Director for External Operations for my next two years of college. I finished my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration-Marketing in December 2009 and then began working on my Master’s of Education-Sports Management Spring 2010. While I worked on my masters I continued working for the Athletic Department as a Graduate Assistant. The summer of 2010 this job as a Recruiter opened up in the Admissions and Recruitment office and I knew I would love it! I love SWOSU and have really gotten to know a lot of the staff and administration here and people in the community because our campus has such a family/friendly atmosphere. I plan to finish my Sports Management Masters in December of 2011, if not before!
I love athletics and played softball all my life and won several state championships during my high school years. During the 2007 and 2008 baseball seasons I interned for the Oklahoma City RedHawks and still work with them some on special events. I am a HUGE Texas Rangers fan and attend several games a year and watch about 90% of them on TV. Many of my vacations revolve around baseball games and visiting different stadiums with my husband and family.
I am recently married and love the new life with my husband! We are truly blessed!
The focus is you.
