President's Leadership Class of 2007-08
Riley McCallay
Riley McCallay is a graduate of Hammon High School where he is valedictorian of his senior class. His school-related interests have included academics and academic competitions, speech contests, art, and sports. He served as senior class president.
McCallay has competed in the state speech contests for each of his high school years, winning many District and regional medals and competing at the state championship each year.
He also achieved success in the Veterans of Foreign Wars speech contests, becoming the 2008 state champion and winning a trip to the national convention in Washington D.C. A highlight of that trip was meeting and shaking hands with President Bush.
His hobbies are hunting, fishing, art, guitar, reading and creative writing. His parents are Vic and Kelly McCallay. He has one brother, Ross, who is completing 7th grade, also at Hammon.
McCallay plans to pursue a career in communications at SWOSU.
