Johnny G. Beech

Johnny G. Beech received a B.S. with a double major in Business Management and Administration of Healthcare from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1977. In 1980, he received a J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. During law school he was a member of Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity and the Legal Research Board. He earned a Master of Laws in Energy and Environmental Law from the Tulane University School of Law in 1985. He was the top student in energy law for the 1984 semester.
Beech has served on the Oklahoma Bar Association Law Schools Committee and the Uniform Laws Committee. He has written and presented several papers for the National Business Institute including Fundamentals of Water Law in Oklahoma: Water Law, Lender Liability Pitfalls and Ethical Issues regarding Lending and Banks. He has also spoken for SCORE on the issues involved in selecting a business entity and lectured on the formation of limited liability companies for the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Small Business Development Center.
Beech has served three terms as President of the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Alumni Association and assisted in organizing the campaign which resulted in the building of the alumni clock tower on the Southwestern campus while serving as President of the Alumni Board. He continues to serve as a board member on the SWOSU Alumni Association.
Beech is an Adjunct Professor for the Park and Recreational Management Department of the SWOSU Graduate School, teaching courses in Sports Law, Employment Law and Sports, Sports Ethics and Natural Resources Law. He was instrumental in the drafting of the program of study for the Master of Education in Sports Management degree at SWOSU which commenced August 2004. He has also been a guest lecturer in Sports Law at Wichita State University and Oklahoma City University School of Law.
He is referenced in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, and Who’s Who in the South & Southwest. He has been listed in The General Bar List for several years. Beech’s law practice emphasizes commercial and banking law, oil and gas, real estate issues, probate, trust law and business and contract litigation.
