SWOSU Alumni Association Secretary
Kandi Nagel of Norman, OK is a member of the Board of Directors for the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Alumni Association in Weatherford. She and her husband, Rick Nagel, reside in Norman, OK. They have a seven-year-old son named Decklin.
Kandi Nagel joined American Solutions for Business in 2005 to own and operate her own branch of selling Promotional Products and Advertising Solutions to clients. Mixing both internet shoppers and personal touch consultations, the business has continued to see growth, having partnered with both an embroidery division as well as silk screen facilities. American is a branding partner when promotional items are needed for large and small businesses nationwide.
In addition to the ownership of her own company, Kandi also manages a new medical development in Shawnee, OK, the Villagio --Shawnee's Premier Wellness Village, a soon-to-be cluster of medical professional offices.
Before teaming with American, Nagel served as Homer Miller Company's Regional Sales Manager, running point on direct sales and using her own sales strengths to motivate staff. She previously worked at DCA Services, Human Resource as a Benefit Specialist and Events Coordinator.
Kandi grew up in Maud, OK. She received her Associate of Arts while attending Seminole State College in 1995 and then transferred to SWOSU and received her Bachelor of Business Management in 1998. Upon graduating, Kandi has chosen to be a SWOSU Alumni Board member because she wants to inspire students to continue their college involvement by volunteering and taking pride in our Alma Mater. “Being on the board is a simple way of keeping your school spirit alive. As an active board member, it allows time for networking, socializing, and simply just having fun. Volunteers with a vision are vital to the success of any organization.”
She feels a personal responsibility to give of her time - staying active in the college’s events year round. Kandi wanted to understand the scope of the current programs, be personally involved and responsible for tasks in the campaigns, assist in leadership, as well as contribute her time and efforts to new and existing programs.
