Rouben Tourian

Tourian began as SWOSU’s assistant athletic director for external operations in July of 2006. The position allows him to oversee the department's corporate sponsorship packages, marketing and promotion efforts as well as work with various support groups, including the SWOSU Athletic Association.

Tourian is no stranger to SWOSU having served on the Alumni Association Board of Directors for the last 10 years, including the last three as an executive member. Tourian, who is a graduate of Weatherford High School, played football at SWOSU in 1991 and 1992. He graduated in 1996 with a degree in business management.

Tourian's move to the SWOSU staff comes following a five-year stint as president of Midwest Therapeutics, a medical equipment rental company with offices in both Weatherford and Oklahoma City. Prior to that he served as owner and operator of Benchwarmer Browns, a popular sports grill and restaurant in downtown Weatherford.

He is married to the former Alex Kluhsman of Mr. Vernon, Mo. The couple reside in Weatherford.
