Sonya Flaming

SWOSU Alumni Association Board Member

Sonya Flaming of Weatherford, OK is a member of the Board of Directors for the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Alumni Association in Weatherford.

Flaming grew up in Corn and Weatherford, OK.  She graduated from SWOSU with a Bachelor of Science- Business Education and a Master of Education- School Administration.  Flaming stayed close to home, working in Clinton from the time of her graduation to 1991.  She then took an instructor position at Caddo-Kiowa Technology Center in Ft. Cobb, OK, where she taught from 1991-1997.  She was also an instructor at Weatherford’s Western Technology Center from 1995-2000.  Flaming is currently living in Weatherford and is employed by Redland’s Community College.

Sonya has chosen to be a SWOSU Alumni Board member because she feels it is a privilege to serve as an advocate for alumni and current SWOSU students.
