Gina Scheller Thain

SWOSU Alumni Association Board Member

Gina Thain is one of the newest members of the SWOSU Alumni Board of Directors. She lives with her husband David in Cordell and has three step children.

Thain works as the Director of Volunteer Services, Marketing & Foundation for INTEGRIS Clinton Regional Hospital. She has spent fourteen years in healthcare marketing in Western Oklahoma, Oklahoma City, and Tulsa. Gina has also worked in orthopedics, biotech pharmaceuticals, respiratory and mental health fields.

Gina attended SWOSU at Sayre prior to receiving her BS in Marketing in 1992, and then her MBA from the University of Phoenix in 2003.

“It is has always been my personal goal to encourage our youth and adults to pursue a higher education and prep them of the importance of a college education.  I have always been an advocate of Western Oklahoma and feel that SWOSU provides an excellent opportunity for everyone to obtain their education especially the opportunity at SWOSU at Sayre.  It provides the opportunity for students to attend college who might otherwise feel they don’t have the opportunity and it gives rural high school students a better opportunity of getting an earlier start on college courses.” – Gina Thain
