Charles Teasley - Head Coach

One of the top college coaches in the state of Oklahoma has now taken the controls of the Southwestern Oklahoma State University baseball program. Scott Selby, who guided the Southern Nazarene University more than 10 years, has taken over as the new Bulldog baseball coach.
The 42-year-old Selby and his teams won 30-or-more games seven times at SNU while compiling a 275-224 (55.1% winning percentage) record. This year SNU finished with a 35-21 record and a placed third in the NAIA’s respected Sooner Athletic Conference (12-8). Selby guided the Crimson Storm to the SAC championship game and a berth in the NAIA Region VI tournament. For the first time in school history, SNU claimed a win at the regional tournament, knocking off top-seeded and third-ranked Oklahoma City University in round two, 3-2.
Selby, a Duncan native and a graduate of East Central University, began his coaching career at Yukon High School where he served as an assistant until being named the head baseball coach at SNU in 1998. Selby inherited a program that had just been reinstated and went 8-42 prior to his arrival.
While at SNU, Selby earned two Conference Coach of the Year honors, in 1999 and 2005, and guided the baseball program to their only national ranking (#21 in 1999).
Selby and his wife Stacey have three children: Spencer (18, a freshman shortstop on SNU’s team), a daughter, Sydney (10), and a younger son, Seth (8).
