Alumni Baseball Event Planned

Former Southwestern Oklahoma State University baseball players will have a chance to dust off their cleats, shine up their bats and regain old bragging rights during a two-day weekend event later this fall. The festivities will include an alumni baseball game, golf tournament and two lunch time meals and other events that are planned for Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 22 and 23.

Cost for the event is $100 and checks should be mailed in care of SWOSU Baseball, 100 Campus Drive, Weatherford, OK 73096

The first activity is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday with the Alumni Baseball Game at the SWOSU Athletic Complex north of campus. A noontime meal provided by Mazzio’s Pizza will follow. Later that evening, participants are encouraged to attend the SWOSU football game against Abilene Christian at 6 p.m.

The next day (Sunday) will be a four-man golf scramble at Weatherford’s Prairie West Golf Course beginning at 12 noon. A hamburger and hot dog meal will be provided after the tournament.
