WEATHERFORD –Southwestern Oklahoma State University again cranked up its engines this time in record-breaking fashion with a 138-67 wipeout of visiting Southwestern Christian University in a men’s basketball game Wednesday in Weatherford.
The lopsided victory was the Bulldogs 10th straight without a loss and left them as the only remaining unbeaten team in the Lone Star Conference. SWOSU now faces a its most difficult task of the year, much less any year, as they take on nationally-ranked NCAA Division I power Oklahoma State University on Jan. 2 in Stillwater.
The outmanned Eagles from SCU, a NCCA non-scholarship school from Bethany, provided little resistance for the Bulldogs. SWOSU set school records for most points (138), field goals (57), three pointers (18), assists (35), steals (21) and field goal accuracy (71.3%)
Nate Perry had 21 points to lead SWOSU in scoring and was one of a whopping seven players to reach double figures. Perry played only 14 minutes in the game and no SWOSU player saw more than 22 minutes of game action.

Jose Garcia
Coach Todd Thurman emptied his bench early allowing all 14 players in uniform to see extensive time. A total of 13 scored.
SWOSU led 74-30 at the half and made 31 shots while missing just 10 for an amazing percentage of 76%.
The Bulldogs reached 100 points with 10:49 to play when Michael Sampson knocked down a three-pointer. At that time the margin was 56 points and the Bulldogs were on cruise control leading 100-44.
Jose Garcia was next in scoring for the Bulldogs with 19 points, making nine of his 10 shots from the field. Clarke Hale was next with 16 followed by Eric Payne with 15 followed by Marcus Millender and Sampson each with 13 and Reggie Gunn with 10.
The Eagles, who fell to 10-7 on the year, were led by Jarail Smith with 22 points.
SWOSU had 77 points from its bench and had 40 points off Eagle turnovers.
