Bulldogs Enter Poll at No. 18

Southwestern Oklahoma State University muscled its way among the top NCAA Division II basketball teams this week as the Bulldogs entered the NABC Coaches Poll at No. 18 for the first time.SWOSU, now 10-1 on the year, is one of three Lone Star Conference teams ranked in the top 25. Tarelton State is 13th and division rival Southeastern Oklahoma State University is 19th.
The Bulldogs will next play at home Saturday against Tarleton State in a matchup of the leagues top basketball teams. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
The top six teams remained in the same spots as they were in the most recent poll on Dec. 19, with Winona State heading the group followed by Clayton State, Central Missouri, Bentley, Southern Indiana and Minnesota State.
Findlay moved up a spot to No. 7 followed by Emporia State, who made the biggest jump from No. 18 to No. 8 after keeping its record unblemished.
Virginia Union, who has not played since Dec. 9, fell to No. 9 followed by Grand Valley State, who beat then No. 10 Montevallo last week.
