Perry Brings Home Weekly Honor

RICHARDSON, Texas – Southwestern Oklahoma State University basketball star Nate Perry has been selected by the Lone Star Conference as the North Division Player-of-the-Week. Perry, a 6-6 center from Racine, Wisc., is the first Bulldog player to win the weekly honor this year.
Perry averaged 21.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists and led the Bulldogs to a 1-1 week that included a road loss to Texas A&M-Kingsville and a home rout of No. 13 Tarleton State. Perry made 17-of-26 (65%) of his shots including one-for-three from three-point distance and was eight-of-12 (67%) from the line.
He had his third double-double of the year in the loss to TAMUK when he collected 23 points and 12 rebounds. He followed that with 20 points, six assist and five rebounds in the 104-80 win against Tarleton.
Perry and his Bulldog teammates will next be in action Thursday, Jan. 11 against Abilene Christian University. Tipoff for the men’s and women’s doubleheader is set to begin at 6 p.m.
