Guy Wins LSC Award

November 26, 2007

RICHARDSON, Texas – Southwestern Oklahoma State University basketball star Trevor Guy was awarded the Lone Star Conference North Division Player-of-the-Week for his efforts in leading the Bulldogs to three straight victories.

Guy, a 6-4 senior forward who played last year at Stephen F. Austin, has been one of the main reasons behind SWOSU’s 5-0 start this year. Guy averaged 16.3 points and 8.7 rebounds while shooting 64% in wins against Oklahoma Science and Arts, New Mexico Highlands and Southwest Baptist University.

Guy becomes the second straight SWOSU player to receive the LSC North Award after teammate Nate Perry was recognized last week.

Guy was the hero of SWOSU’s 76-74 win over Southwest Baptist by sinking back-to-back three-pointers in the game’s final minute. He was chosen as the SWOSU Thanksgiving Classic MVP while teammate Clarke Hale joined him on the six-person, all-tournament team.
