Perry Again Wins Honor

December 3, 2007

RICHARDSON, Texas – Southwestern Oklahoma State University continued its tight grip on the early season men’s basketball honors awarded by the Lone Star Conference with Nate Perry’s selection as the North Division Player-of-the-Week.

The award is Perry’s second in three weeks and marks the third week that a SWOSU player has won the award. Teammate Trevor Guy was chosen in Week 2.

Perry, a senior forward from Racine, Wisc., averaged 23 points and 7.5 rebounds in victories at Midwestern State and Tarleton State last week. The 18th ranked Bulldogs are unbeaten through seven games this year and are one of only two unbeaten teams in the LSC.

Perry made 62% of his shots from the two games and scored 23 points in both contests. He currently ranks fifth in the LSC in scoring average with 17.6 points per game and shooting accuracy at 63.4%.
