Men Move Up to No. 8

December 18, 2007

KANSAS CITY, MO – Southwestern Oklahoma State University continued to scale up the rankings in the NABC/Division II coaches poll jumping two spots to land at No. 8. The Bulldogs who are 9-0 on the year won their only game last week with an 80-64 victory over the University of Science and Arts.

The poll will be the last one prior to January as the schedule lightens for most teams because of the holiday break.

SWOSU will play next play Thursday, Dec. 20 at Fort Hays State University and again at home on Saturday, Dec. 29 against University of Colorado-Colorado Springs.

Bentley and Grand Valley State retained their places in the top two for the third week in succession, while the next three spots are still occupied by South Dakota, Rollins and Winona State. However, Cal State-San Bernardino's loss to Azuza Pacific last week dropped the Coyotes four places from sixth to tenth, allowing Drury to move to sixth, Seattle to No. 7 and SWOSU at No. 8
