Guy Wins Second LSC Award

February 18, 2008

RICHARDSON, Texas – Southwestern Oklahoma State University basketball star Trevor Guy collected his second Lone Star Conference North Division Player-of-the-Week award after leading the Bulldogs to a pair of basketball wins last week.

Guy, a 6-4 senior forward from Memphis, Texas, averaged 19.0 points and 8.5 rebounds while making better than 54% of his shots in wins over Southeastern Oklahoma State University and Northeastern State. The Bulldogs are currently ranked No. 14 in the latest NABC Division II poll and an overall record of 20-4.

Guy had a season high 25 points and 14 rebounds in SWOSU’s 71-70 victory at Southeastern last week. The game marked the fifth-time this season that Guy has recorded double figures in both rebounds and points for the Bulldogs.

He is currently second on the team in scoring averaging 12.5 points and in rebounding at 6.6 boards per game. He had previously won the award in November when the Bulldogs started the season winning their first nine games.

Guy played at Grayson County Community College and transferred for his final season after playing one year at Stephen F. Austin, an NCAA Division I school in Texas.
