
Channing Gann is in her first year as an assistant coach at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, coming from conference rival Southeastern Oklahoma State University where she was a two-year starter for the Savage Storm.
Gann last season played on a SOSU team that finished with a 21-9 recrod and made its first appearance in the NCAA Division II National Tournament in seven years.
A native of Brock, Texas, Gann was star player on her Brock High School team that finished with a 30-2 record and won the Class 2A state championship in 2005. She then went on to play collegiately at Collin County where she averaged better than 22 points per game as a freshman while leading the team to the NJCAA Regional tournament.
Gann has a bachelor's degree in marketing from Southeastern and is currently at work on her master's degree in sports management from SWOSU.
