Don Dodd - Assistant Coach

Veteran basketball coach Don Dodd begins his second year with the SWOSU women’s staff. Dodd has spent more than 35 years as a basketball coach at high schools and colleges across Texas and Oklahoma. He was inducted into the Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame in 2003.
A 1969 graduate of North Texas State, Dodd has won two state titles as head coach. His first came in 1972 as boys coach at Pottsboro (TX) High School, and he then won another title at Deer Creek-Edmond (OK) in 1974. He perhaps is best known for coaching 12 years at Dale High School where his team made five state tournament appearances between 1987 and 1999.
Dodd has coached collegiately at Seminole State Junior College where he led the Lady Trojans to an 18-13 record during the 1999-2000 season. He has also an assistant coach at Texas Woman’s University in 2004-05.
He and his wife, Robbyn, have two adult sons, Derek and Donovan.
