Beans, Cornbread Lunch Planned

WEATHERFORD, Okla. – Area residents will have a chance to eat beans and cornbread as prepared by the Southwestern Oklahoma State University women’s basketball team during a fundraising lunch Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Student Union Grill on campus.The event is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and will conclude at 1 p.m. Diners will have a chance not only to meet members of the SWOSU basketball team but also purchase officially logos merchandise. The money went to help pay for new warm-up apparel, travel bags and help defray the cost of travel and meals on the road.
Tickets are $5 and can be purchased in advance by contacting any member of the SWOSU women’s basketball team or by calling Coach Shelly Pond at 580-774-3290. Tickets will also be made available at the door for the same price.
