Women Have Fath, Win
January 10, 2008

The Bulldogs have now won seven straight at home and improved to 8-5 on the year. The lopsided win was typical of most of the Bulldogs home victories as they have beaten six of the seven teams by 14 or more points.
ENMU, which fell to 3-9 with the loss, was led by Samantha Matta with 12 points.
Fath fueled a late first-half run that put SWOSU in the driver’s seat for good. Her basket began a 21-10 run as the Bulldogs closed the first half with a 37-21 lead.
The margin grew to 34 points in the second half as several different Bulldogs took turns punching holes in the Zia’s defensive scheme.

Jenna Sprague
ENMU did manage to trim the lead to within 16 late in the game while reserves where on the floor before settling for the 21-point loss.
SWOSU finished the game making 25-of-53 shots for 47% while ENMU made just 16-of-50 shots for 32%. The Bulldogs out rebounded the Zias by a 38-35 margin with both Sprague and Fath sharing those honors with six each.
SWOSU will next play at home Saturday, Jan. 12 against nationally-ranked West Texas A&M. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
