Ramon Wins Player-of-Week

RICHARDSON, Texas – Southwestern Oklahoma State University basketball star Lucy Ramon was honored by the Lone Star conference as the North Division Player-of-the-Week for her efforts in leading the Bulldogs to victories over Texas A&M-Commerce and Cameron University.

Ramon, a 6-0 freshman from Mustang, Okla., averaged 24 points and made better than 54% of her shots from the floor in the two games. She scored a career-best 31 points in SWOSU’s victory 75-53 victory over Cameron.

Ramon leads SWOSU in scoring this year averaging 16.1 points per game and has scored in double figures 18-of-20 times this season. She ranks in the top 10 in the Lone Star Conference in scoring and shooting percentage.

SWOSU is 12-8 on the season and currently in a four-way tie for second in the LSC North with a 3-2 record. The Bulldogs will next play Wednesday at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.
