Ramon Wins Freshman Honor

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – Southwestern Oklahoma State University's Lucy Ramon was chosen as the Lone Star Conference North Division Freshman-of-the-Year.
Ramon, a 6-0 center from Mustang, was also voted to the five-person first team North Division squad in a vote of the league’s seven coaches. Ramon was the only underclassmen chosen to either the first or second teams.
Ramon led SWOSU in scoring averaging 15.7 points per game. She ended the year with 424 points, the third most points scored by a freshman in school history. She scored in double figures 24-of-27 times including scoring a season high 31 points in a win against Cameron. SWOSU finished the season with a 15-12 record.
She was joined on the first team by co-players of the year Lizzie Brenner of Central Oklahoma and Lacey Goldwire of East Central. Also on the team were Texas A&M-Commerce’s Brittney Jordan and Northeastern State’s Jezzal Quintana.
