Josh Musick - Head Coach

Former Southwestern Oklahoma State University football player Josh Musick has been hired as the school’s first-ever strength and conditioning coach. The appointment will be effective June 1.
Musick, 30, will also take over duties as SWOSU women’s cross country coach.
As SWOSU’s newest coach, Musick will design and implement all of the strength and conditioning programs for each of the 12 intercollegiate athletic teams. He will supervise the athletic weight room in the SWOSU Fitness Center and will be responsible for the daily maintenance of all weight equipment.
Musick will also inherit a cross country program that features star distance runner Rachel Ingram and three other returners from last year’s team.
"It’s an exciting opportunity to work in strength and conditioning and to help the development of an already successful women’s cross country program,” Musick said. "It is my goal to help continue that success and work with the coaches to take all our programs to even greater heights."
Musick, 30, was a three-year letterman for the Bulldogs while playing linebacker. He has established a growing reputation for developing an effective strength and conditioning programs for both athletes and non-athletes for a number of years in Weatherford and was a personal trainer for Performance Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Clinic.
He and his wife, Eladah, are the owners and director of the Oklahoma College of Massage Therapy in Weatherford. The couple have one son, Keenan, 3, and expecting a daughter later this year with the birth of their second child.
