Ingram Wins LSC Academic Award

RICHARDSON, Texas – Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s Rachel Ingram was recognized as the Lone Star Conference Women’s Academic Cross Country Runner-of-the-Year. It is the third straight time Ingram, now a senior pharmacy major, has been voted to the honor.
The Springfield, Mo. native continues to carry a 4.0 grade point average throughout her undergraduate course work in the schools rigorous pharmacy classes.
The all-academic team is voted on by the league’s sports information directors. To be considered, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 grade point average and completed 24 hours of course work from her nominating institution.
Joining Ingram on the five-person all-academic team was teammate Stefanie Jones who owns a 3.87 GPA in pharmacy. Jones, a native of Fort Smith, Ark., was a member of the all-academic team last year.
All student-athletes who qualify for nomination and were not voted to the team are named to the Commissioner’s Honor Roll. SWOSU cross country runners who were named to the honor roll are Emily Haskins, Harrah soph., Kate Hollenshead, Cooper, Texas junior; and Grace Anne Fath, Fort Smith, Ark. junior.
