Charles Black is one Ryan Held's two assistants that followed him from his coaching days at Oklahoma Panhandle State University to SWOSU.

At SWOSU, Black has coached both wide receivers and defensive backs.

A native of Manhatten, Kan., Black was a two-year starter at Kansas Wesleyan University where he played wide receiver.
