Russell Gaskamp - Offensive Coordinator

Russell Gaskamp carries a degree of instant credibility as a coach after playing in the collegiate game at its highest level. He earned all-Big XII honors at the University of Texas where he was the starting center for an offensive line that paved the way for NCAA record breaker and 1998 Heisman Trophy winner Ricky Williams.

Gaskamp, a native of Weatherford,  was part of back-to-back state title teams in 1991 and 1992.  He  became the first graduate from an Oklahoma high school to sign with UT in 17 years.

Previously, he coached five years and was most recently with Texas A&M-Commerce as the offensive line coach. He also coached at  Sam Houston State,  Johnston High School and the Austin Rattlers, a semi-professional team.

Gaskamp earned a bachelor’s degree in management from Texas and later obtained his master’s degree from SHSU. He is married to the former Justine Forshage of New Braunfels, Texas.
