SWOSU Sets Open Football Tryout for February 19

Weatherford, Oklahoma - Southwestern Oklahoma State is giving an opportunity for those who want to earn a spot on the 2005 football team a chance to showcase their talents to members of the Bulldog coaching staff. The open tryout is set for Saturday, Feb. 19 at Rankin Williams Fieldhouse beginning at 12 noon .New SWOSU football coach Ryan Held said participants will be tested in a variety of drills including the 40-yard dash, vertical jump and specifically-designed agility events. Each person will be evaluated by a team of SWOSU coaches who will then review results and make a selection determination.
The open tryout is without cost. Participants are asked to bring their own football cleats, shorts, T-shirt and workout gear. All high school seniors, current college and junior college students or those planning to attend SWOSU are invited to attend the tryout.
