Checklist for 2005 Football Players for the Fall

Bulldog Football Player,

Greetings from the SWOSU football department. I hope that your summer is going well and are working hard in the weight room and in conditioning to make sure that you’re ready for this fall. I wanted to send you this letter because there are some things that you need to make sure that you do before you arrive. Below is a checklist of things that you need to do. Some of the items apply to newcomers and some to returning and both.

High School Newcomers:

  1. Apply to school and get accepted. (You need to include $15 application fee)
  2. Send final high school transcript to NCAA clearinghouse and to SWOSU. The Clearinghouse needs transcripts from all high schools attended. (Official)
  3. Send ACT/SAT scores to NCAA clearinghouse and to SWOSU. It has to be sent by the high school or the Test score group.
  4. Fill out housing application and send in deposit of $60.
  5. Fill out health insurance forms. The forms are on our website at www.swosu.edu under athletic section, (Forms for incoming student athletes). These need to be sent in by July 10 th.
  6. Make sure your financial aid is done. The school code is: 003181
  7. We need your player pack sizes so we can order for the warm-up, shirt, etc. We need it by July 4th.
  8. Get enrolled in class.

Junior College/Transfer Newcomers:

  1. Everything above except NCAA Clearinghouse.
  2. All Official Transcripts needs to be sent for all schools attended.

Returning Players:

  1. All health insurance forms need to be turned in.
  2. Player pack and uniform sponsorships need to be turned in.

Reporting Dates

Players can move into the dorms on August 2nd during regular business hours. (9:00 am- 5:00 pm.) If you are going to be later than that, you have to call me (580-774-7190) and let me know. We will officially report on August 3rd at 2:00 pm in the locker-room.
