WEATHERFORD – Southwestern Oklahoma State University was recognized as one of the most improved NCAA Division II football teams in the nation, according to results gathered by Somissports.com in its annual rating systems.
The Bulldogs were the ninth most improved D-II team bettering their 2005 record of 1-10 by five games last season finishing 6-5. SWOSU was the only Lone Star Conference team to make the top 10.
Chadron State, a quarterfinalist this year, was the most improved team in the nation recording eight more wins than the previous season.
